jac379: The narrower your parameters the less your chances of finding what you want.
I'm by no means saying that you should settle for something you're not happy with, but perhaps come to terms with the idea that you might not get what you want.
There may also be some middle ground where you may find it in your heart to forgive some faults without compromising your core values.

What are your priorities and how can you widen your parameters, or what can you do to target the specific lifestyle that you would like? (Or both).
What changes can you make to alter your situation, without compromising the things that you hold dearest?
