I think the biggest mystery that prob will never be solved would be the Jack The Ripper.
The biggest mystery to me is how some people still believe that man landed on the moon 6 times during the Nixon administration !!
The technology to land on the moon isn't even there NOW !!
Nasa have an probe orbitting the moon since July 2009 and have collected data about the extreme radiation and temperatures on the moons surface. They are planning a moon landing in 2018.
It looks like Japan might just beat them to it.

Theory on the moon landings
The spacestation and major sattalites are between 200 and 300 miles above the earths surface.
The deadly Van Allen radiation belt start at 1000 miles above the earth. If humans had tried to pass through that back in the 60's/70's they would have either died or have suffered from it's effects.
Another think I find strange is why all of the 18 astronauts who went to the moon refused to swear on the bible when asked to do so !!
Buzz Aldrin actually punched the interviewer in the face.
He was convicted of assault.

I mean they started the whole space race in 1961 by putting a man in space and the americans in a tisy decided they'll go one better and put a man on the moon. Ain't getting into no arguement about something that neither of us can verify. I don't doubt they went there, To many people involved in a lie that big for it not to have come out. However some of the pictures i've have seen are suspect. Lots of probes have been successfully landed on the moon. The Russians landed a probe on the moon in 1957 !!

Van Allen himself said that about 3 inches of lead would be maybe safe !
Astronauts on the spacestation have suffered from radiation particles and they are nearly 700 miles below the belts.
The Japanese lunar probe in 2008 agrees with the 3 inches of lead theory. The radition on the moons suface would be far more deadly than the van allen belt.

Think about all the shielding used in just a chest x-ray !!

Mythbusters on Discovery did an entire programme on the landings and many of the points raised above. They disproved all the Hoax claims including the flag in a vacume chamber, the backlighting of the Astronaut, footprints. It's a great watch if you can find it online
