EagleWoman: I went to a meet 2/3 years ago in Barcelona ... Met GingerBe and Oslo and a few others who don't appear to be here anymore ... Was good fun and enjoyed the experience
I was with a guy I had met here on CS ... Irony of ironies on our way home from the meet our 8 month relationship fell apart and we split up a couple of days after ... I can grin now but that bit wasn't much fun at the time!! No sad flowers needed ... all water under the bridge
The hug was for me
I was lucky enough to meet Ginger and Oslo as well. I think people that have been to meets are more understanding that there are real people behind the screen.

Oslo was on the schweppes tonic all night
Oh I know that ......Mind you she made a good job of talking to Gordon
vinny1967: I tried explaining the country needed Excise & VAT but she wouldn't listen Oslo's is the reason we needed a bailout
I meant to say I met Ginge a couple of times lovely lass. Great person to talk to on so many levels and subjects....Oh and Skinnyminnie and a few of the Irish lads as well a good weekend....Shme there is not another Spanish one maybe at the end of the summer.....
Sunnydaze14: Vinny, both you and Bodlieng aren't going to Glasgow, what a shame!
I know Sunny
An opportunity came up at home and Im travelling home on Sunday. It would have been good to meet you but am sure there will be meets in Dublin I can now attend easier. Bodie is a gem........I was lucky enough to spend a bit of time with him and Trish..........Good people.

I had a great conversation with Ginger and she's a real Lady. It was a good night Pat. You were not long on CS if I remember correctly and I was surprised to see you there. They are a good crowd and Im sure the Irish will have a couple of meets this year.
Have any of you had a good laugh or formed friendships at any of the C S meets you attended.
Or have you had fun meeting folk from here?
I know all the folk who were in Spain this time last year had a great time even with all the troubles the had with the Volcano....
It could be hard to make a meet far away, but it would be good to have a local meet with people close by.I live on long island and a meet here or within the five boros or upstate would be good. I think I spelled boros wrong,lol....my bronx accent.
This time last year I finally had made it to Manchester, and was about to go to Glasgow...
How did it happen that one year has passed so quickly..
I will never forget being stumped by the Volcanic Ash fallout twice...
I am well peeved that I am not over yours this year again...
But I keep watching your CS Glasgow meet thread and by the way its shaping up... I think you guys are in for a good night of laughs..
So, I am wishing you all well.
Cheers R .... .... looking forward to it muchly.
How many finally made it to the Benidorm meet ? Was it about 13 after a sign up of 50+ ? Expecting the same sort of numbers here, hopefully a few more locals will turn up on the day.

Funny about the numbers... About 60+ signed up, and in truth, only 16 showed up...
But, you know, that was a fine amount of people to meet I found..
By the time we all exchanged hello's, and then talked to everyone individually, there was quite a bit of time that passed... Then we started dancing together, and had a few drinks, and before we knew it, the morn had arrived..
Besides, I did take Aussie small small tings for all, but I never took 60 of them... so just as well... hehehe
Awwwwhhhh, now I am going into maudlin mode again talking about all of this...

If it is any consolation, you are missed, and much loved, by many.

Ah I wasnt fussed by the ash..meant I had you longer, and autumnstarlight too..we had a wonderful time. Another one has been mentioned in Spain, but after all the organising last year and then folks not even being bothered to let me know that they wouoldnt be coming well, dunno if I'll be arranging it! Would do so in a flash tho Merri if you were coming back, or if Pat or Ginger were going to be able to make it!

My apologies if I did not tell you as I don't remember but I believe I told Merri & unfortunately for me I know I missed a great time.

I reckon around the end of September would be good for a Spanish bash. The end of the season for most and the fares etc drop a lot...I would go just to see that "pongo git " Steve....
