Sometimes I can be in mail contact with someone for hours and have a really good chat, but maybe not speak again for weeks, or months. I have a group of friends that I get together with once a year and we always pick up where we left off. That's what good friends do in my book.
You can't be in contact with everyone all the time because you'd never get off the damned computer and just like real life, you'd run out of conversation unless you go off and do other things.
So it is with posting on the forums. A heated debate with one person one day, does not necessarily mean they're ignoring you the next day, they've most probably found something else to capture their interest that day.
Besides, if someone followed you round every damn thread you were on, you'd start to feel like they had it in for you, maybe. I've seen that interpretation many a time.

I think I didn't explain myself. My concern isn't the poster that didn't agree with. It's the rest of the regulars that see me everyday, who say something if I'm in a thread. It's just a matter of recognition.
When they ignore me it makes me think that they think I'm a troublemaker and I don't want that label. It's not about them not liking me. It's that I think they think I'm trouble.
