maybe ur making a sandwich? i love bread pudding with custard, stale bread works best no raisins for me
3 Eggs lightly beaten 4 C Milk 2 tsp Vanilla 1 tsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Salt 4 C cubed Bread 1 C Brown Sugar 1/2 C Golden Raisins
Combine Eggs, Milk, Brown Sugar, Vanilla and Salt. Put Bread cubes into a 9" cake pan or casserole. Pour mixture on Bread cubes making sure they are soaked through. Sprinkle Cinnamon on top. Place in oven. (Optional step: Place in larger pan and carefully add 1" of HOT water.) This will produce a more custard-like result. Bake for 60 minutes at 350 deg.
5 eggs 6 cups of milk 3/4 tsp salt 1.5 cups brown sugar (packed) (You can also use this recipe to use up some powdered sugar that most people have laying around. Mix 50/50 with the brown sugar it will not hurt the taste one bit). ½ cup “Minute Tapioca” (This adds a great custard like softness to the bread pudding). 1 tbsp vanilla 1 cup of raisins (I prefer golden raisins, Craisins make a nice touch also) cinnamon
You'll need a 9X12 baking pan, preferably one with a lid. They sell them at Dollar General for 3 bucks. The lid will keep the bread pudding from drying out or you can use plastic wrap.
Wisk the eggs in a large bowl. Dump in the brown sugar, milk, Tapioca, vanilla, and salt. Mix well with a whisk to make sure all the brown sugar is dissolved. Cut up enough bread into cubes roughly an inch in size to fill the baking pan. You don't have to use stale bread like a lot of recipes say that's BS, any bread will do. Last time I used a pkg of hotdog rolls and before that I used 9 hamburger rolls with sesame seeds. Fill the pan to level with the cut up bread and sprinkle the raisins about evenly. Pour the liquid over the bread and gently press the bread down so it is all completely soaked with the liquid. Sprinkle cinnamon evenly over the top and pop it in the oven at 350 for EXACTLY 1 hour and it's done. Oh, and don't preheat the oven, that is also BS. Pre heating an oven is a very old practice from the days of wood burning stoves because you had to get the stove up to baking temperature which could take up to 30 minutes. With modern gas or electric stoves this practice is no longer necessary but cook books still include this step.

What does the 'C' stand for Ooby, and what is it's metric equivalent?
