Billy6456: What I'd like to know!....is it possible....a couple/few strangers (Males with Med Life Crises) to get together...who haven't got a cent to their names...with a Backpack..maybe a camera...can they travel the world together...experiencing life, food, travel, customs, cultures, work, play..etc...am I dreaming???...I am up to trying to make it possible...anyone else want to take on the challenge???
Hi, & good-luck with the project, males that find them self in this situation act in different ways, probably don't need to explain where they go to inside there heads, I think your idea is sound, & very good idea, there will be some that will come along, just to leave at different times, maybe others will join,
Cost of international travel is expensive,getting males with-out mortgages, child commitments, will be an issue, leading, & where the group is going should be layed-out before u set-off, working on the way, camping, first-aid, in the bush survival will be of a help,places like northern Canada,& many places in Europe with similar climate need some leadership in survival to make things run smoothly, if the filming is done to a high standard, a sponcer may be good to cover air-fares, good luck !!!

For my midlife crisis, I got a couple of tattoos and a wonderful girl almost 20 years younger than me. It was a great 6 months....but, of course, it all ended in tears!

Gidday folks...hope you all didn't think I was rude for not rteplying to all your posts....but was banned for a while!!!!!
doesn't pay to stand up to bullies...anyway...I have read and taken on board everyones comments and they are very much appreciated...have been doing my home work and have found that I really need to see the sale of my house through and have all loose ends tied up first
..it's going to happen!!! as I'm using the waiting period to do my homework...thanks again everyone

Sounds like an exciting plan!....Make sure you have a plan and a way to finance it....if those two things are in place, don't see how you can lose....Maybe at the the end of your rainbow there awaits a beautiful picture book about your travels, experiences both good and bad, just begging to be published...Good luck, safe landing...

just another thought Billy6456...borrow 30k on the house...rent it outfor maybe a year...then go zoomzoom give me room..u just might find some months are enough...in which case...you have no where to live so "take a beach bungalow in maybe Khoi Samui (Thailand)..get your ya yas out...then return...just a thought ?

Anything is possible, Billy. You have set yourself a challenge, seems to me all you need is to find some like minded fellas and you're on your way...A great adventure in the making.

Well, howzabout starting with a basic plan?
-you will need a rough start/finish date. Then you can work towards that.
-next, have an idea of how many guys you want on the adventure?
- will you flip a coin to decide where you head off, or will you simply make a decision?
- what sort of budget? Do you intend to get work visas?
- kind of accommodation: pensiones or youth hostels, caravan parks, 2-3star hotels, other?
Just kickin' around some ideas for you. Keep up the momentum...

Its like trying to extract blood from a stone and when they have finished looking you up and down as though you were a mental patient they tell you how stupid you are for even thinking it
I tried to get 3 people to do the B to B rally in OZ a few years ago and had the same reaction but if its in your mind and your heart to do it you just have to or it will always be a huge regret.
Ive done a bit in the last 3 years but hopefully will be setting off later in the year doing voluntary work until
Alone I might add haha!! I'm looking forward to it more actually because then I don't have anyone to please but myself and I can do exactly what I want to do whenever I want to do it without upsetting someone else or feeling I have to do what someone else wants me to do. Ive done that all my life lol
