Therein began my love/hate relationship with cars. I think i've had a nissan x 2, fiat x 2, renault x 3, skoda x 1, vw x 1, toyota x 1, ford x 1, opel x 2, mazda x 1 and they're the ones I can remember

A 1976 Morris Marina 1300cc.....SGE 771N. It was Navy Blue with gold coachlines. It must have been the most boring car I ever owned.

crikey going back 40years here bud passed mt test first time never even had driving lessons and touch wood never had a crash in those days there were not too many cars on the road but i bought a second hand austin a40 it had a push button in the floor of the car to start , indicators that shot out of the side we had to use hand signals if they got stuck .no heating , windscreen wipers that always noisey and as there were no motorways you felt every bump bought my 1st car when i was 16, it was an 1.8 opel manta gte, was washing nd polising it for nearly 12months before i was "officialy" allowed to drive it on a public road

'88 Beige Fiat Uno. It was already 12 years old by the time I got it.
It had only 4 forward gears and no power steering. It leaked like a sieve when it rained and farted more than anyone I know. I didn't drive it much, what with Irish weather being as it is and scrapped it two years later and got a Daewoo Matiz!!

Mine was a VW Golf 1.4. I had a fab MK2 16v GTI after that.
1992 Audi 80 1.9tdi. Had it for 14years. Car was running perfectly and I scrapped it under pressure of then girlfriend bought an A6 estate. HATE it. Loved the 80, wish I still had it. Girlfriend, better off without her!!!
I had a lil gold 90 D Toyota Starlet the ex brought home 1 day, I hadnt a clue how 2 even turn it on, it had been a demo model bk in its hey day but was 11 yrs old by then, when id done with it I sold it on 2 a friend and she had it til she sold it 2 my cousin who sold it bk 2 the friend when she had done with it, My friend then scrapped it with a Toyota garage 4 a brand new Yaris ........ 2 wks later I seen 2 foreigners driving it down my road I wouldnt be surprised if lil Goldie is still floating around somewhere

I do remember when I was learning to drive one of my sons friends commented "Are you not to old to learn to drive" last time he called to our house for a long time
my first car was my little 99 punto, it came into a house with 3 puntos already and it was the only one that never had anything wrong with it ever. traded it in(after striping it for parts for the other puntos)for a c2 in 2006 which i ended up in court over cause the garage tried to pull a fast one on me and then two years ago got my focus van, best thing iv ever bought
