I know myself about people who have multiple profiles ,and how they can be used .
Can anybody else tell me what they think of why some have multiple profiles on dating sites .
I"ll watch to see who has there personal explanations of why some do ,then i"ll give you my opinion on some of the angles .
I don't bother having multiple profiles 'cos I hardly have time to type from one.I know myself about people who have multiple profiles ,and how they can be used .

Mind you, some people are so full of BS that I reckon they need half a dozen profiles to help stop them virtually exploding

Profiles profiles..Everywhere a profile!!! You will find people will create the kind of persona they think the public would like to see, but in truth? thats not how they are, but they run into problems when they findout folks like the fake personality they have created!!
So what do they do then??? try and live upto the Created persona they have shown the public,even if its a false one... silly because the truth will out you everytime..give it long enough and the real personality will come out, much to the mental distress of the people they are trying to fool..My Prognosis? a bad experience all round...

I've got to agree with you there.....I came across some-one on here with over 7 profiles.....each profile was almost identical as was his the photos.
I strongly suspect that there are some false profiles that are made purposefully to agitate the forums and its members,
To some it's all a game.....

It's just my opinion that I believe that those with multiple profiles are hiding something. I don't care to know what. Mine is open and to the point(and only one).
Anyway, the tend to be scammers and trouble makers...not worth my time or enegry....I spend my time with friends(and making new ones) and family and of course, those I know on CS...

If you have information that others don't, ie. you have more than one profile, you see yourself as being more powerful and more in control of others.
It's deceitful, inethical and abusive.
Like all bullies, they are cowardly behind their front(s), yet they are incapable of seeing that those who are truly in control are those who are in control of themselves, not others.
Being open, honest and in control of your own behaviours makes you largely impervious to bullies. Although, they may leave you with some surface scratches, your core is secure enough to withstand a little foolishness.

Considering there's only a small handful who post on the UK forums, I'm left wondering why it was posted here. It would have had more answers in the Internationals for sure, as well as several pages of accusations. Or is this the passive aggressive way of accusing people these days?
Regarding as to why some may have multiple profiles on a dating site, who really knows, or cares? It happens, and has done since the dawn of the Internet. They are easy to spot though, as they will still write in the same style, and send the same type of messages.
But... maybe they use one for serious dating, and another for a quick bunk-up.
