What made you smile or laugh today "2" old one full (552)
Juneau: Went on a wee walk today with a friend. I knew it would be muddy as it's not stopped raining all Summer! As a country girl, I am the proud owner of not one but TWO pairs of wellies so I decided to wear the slightly lighter boots which don't slop around so much when you walk (bit easier). I haven't worn them for a couple of years as they were in the loft so I had completely forgotten that it is very difficult to get them off! (they are a riding-boot style so are slimmer).
When we finished the walk, I tried to get them off and couldn't!!! I was staggering around pulling and tugging and nothing was budging! So in the end, my friend suggested that I sit in the boot of the car and he would pull them off! He pulled and tugged and still they wouldn't come off, so he gave it his all, and pulled REALLY hard and the boots didn't budge but I did! He pulled me right out of the car and I almost landed on my bum in the mud!
Anyway, after a lot of hilarity and an awful lot of pulling, they came off, but we couldn't stop laughing!!!
Mmmmmm...maybe I'll wear walking boots next time!!!!

nice to see you back. I had a similar experience with leather boots, oh goodness thought would have to cut them off. No way to move them I had to go to bed in them and sometime in the night they did shift slightly so could get them off, needless to say did not wear them again. Oh yes heeled boots on in bed in the middle of the winter not a good look. hehhehehe
What made me smile today is the fact that there is snow here in the Black Forest! So early too!
Watching the smoke coming up the valley from the chimneys is a sight and that is real tranquillity.

Have recently bought a pair of cowboy boots off of ebay and have the same problem, except it's weird, cause they come off ok, but getting them on is a nightmare!
The first time it was such a struggle to get them on, that I REALLY thought I wouldn't be able to get them off again!! 
It's not so funny when you're on your own own!!

Its no fun on your own trying to pull boots or indeed shoes.
Here is a tip for you, spray the boots with Mr. Sheen or furniture wax spray it loosens the leather!! that will do the trick nicely for you.
Mind its super for cleaning them too!! heheheh

Builders were working. I have proof of that as well, but it was so hot that they'd take breaks and sit in the garden chilling.
