Bought the kids bunk beds and furniture from Ikea, all flat-packed, bunk beds sorted, got 2 the 2 chests of drawers 2day, made the 1st 1 up, took hours but I got there, got cracking on the 2nd set and just when the end was in sight I realised that 3 of the right hand side of the drawers are missing frustrated Now im left with a 6 drawer chest only half completed very mad

To say im fuming is an understatement, feel like im gonna spontaneously combust.

Has anybody else had an experience like this with Ikea?

Had 2 partake of some liquid relaxation because of it cheers

you should have tried the bargain corner they have slightly damaged units (some are in very good condition ) and they are at a knock down price
if you wanted you could have got them to put the unit together for you though you would need a large van to get them to your home conversing

I enjoy putting flat pack furniture together.

Pity we can't get flat pack stuff that has actual wood though...the chipboard (or whatever you call it) never lasts.

dunno Yes I've already admitted I know I'm weird!

Ah Greensleeves if I only I had the money 4 the handmade stuff daydream

There actually good quality 1s, sturdy etc and what the girls wanted 2 match their bunkbeds, its hard 2 get anything but flatpack because they have the attic room and its hard 2 get things up the stairs and into their room moping

I should have just left their room as it was, I only went out there 2 but some kitchen roll holders 4 my daughters bracelet collection and as was said already ended up being herded round the whole store and impulse buying the stuff, they look lovely but I just cant believe the parts are missing dunno

And I did have a few extra screws and have the blisters and cuts that go with flat-packs.

God love the person on the desk when I arrive out 2moro with my hangover boxing

Yeah theres something to be said for buying/having something of quality that you know will last a lifetime and can be passed onto your children, or family etc. Something that has character, age, and a special something about it that you dont get with mass produced, production line pieces. Although, I totally understand that they are the more economical choice for the modern home/living! conversing

I'll send you on the link Lara, I think I hijacked quite enough of this thread! doh
