GM is a Case in point! Obama took it over, then gave the Shares to the Unions, and the original Investors could suck their P...! Obama actually stole it! Then they howl that they want their fair share! It's about time to tell them to go and suck their own A....! Seems Wisconsin did that with the Recall Elections!

Easy Conrad......don't blow a gasket there boy...... I'm riding the fence to the left a little......that's all. I don't want this country to go back to the same old policies that either party thinks still works.........it truly is time for some change

People who have their business and have to pay taxes, they use every legal resource to pay the least. Be US, China, México, etc….
People who have not business they want the business people to pay the most.
For the sharing of wealth, the ones who want wealth to be shared are mostly the ones who have nothing to share.
For a business to be fairer, the workers should earn some shares and “share” the responsibility as well as the profits.
However, the way we do business has to be improved but we need “good” laws for it.
We need to find a fair middle between profit and social impact.
“The real measure of your wealth is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money.”

jvaski: Let's face it......most of the jobs that went overseas are jobs Americans won't do because they're spoiled and want too much pay for. Besides, the Dell computer techs in India are much more polite than any American woould ever be !
Politeness?
It has nothing to do with being polite it is about profits. Business people will do their business where there is:

That Article is interesting although could be a bit biased not telling every thing.
To look at the loss of jobs in US, can be seen from an economic point of view but let us not to forget the political side and that is a very important one because “elections are coming in 2012” and many huge interests are at stake and I dare to say that business people do not want Obama again in office and they will do every thing to get it and Obama and his team are not helping themselves either.
What concerns to me is that our "peso" is not strong and when US sneezes we get the cold.
Thank for the other link to the article about the taxes.
Obama's team have done their share to the job's problem but they are not the only ones.

lifeisadream: Thanks Conrad I will read it later on. Once we find the causes then we will give the solutions!
Simple! stop the Idiots from spending Money better spent in production, and get rid of that DC-Cronyism! Those Politicians are like Swine at the Trough!
grizzwald: If the "Unions" did not force up labor cost ....there would be no reason to outsource....Just saying the unions were/are part of the problem ...
Not sure I agree on that. I tend to be middle right, so I'm not a Unionist by any means, but I have to say that there are far stronger union movements in other countries than in the US and those countries dont have the same unemployment problems. So I doubt its the unions.
Give you an example. Here everyone gets four weeks a year vacation by leave accrual from the minute they start their first job. There are minimum wages, so people dont have to work for peanuts and live on tips. There is also a better system of sick leave, long service leave, and lots of other benefits. Mostly the result of having stronger unions, however unemployment is usually lower than the US.
Wouldn't it be just your struggling economy? Not having a go! When businesses close it has a flow on effect. If a factory shuts and sacks five hundred employees over two thousand actually lose their jobs because local stores all put off casual staff as not enough cash is coming in the door anymore.

give it time ...besides I never said it was the sole reason only one of them .....I hardly thinks a carpenter is worth 55 to 60 bucks an hour ....unions only help themselves....IMO

Oh I agree. I can't stand them when they enter the political arena. Our largest left party here is called the Labor party but in reality it could be called the Union Party because it is almost entirely run by the union and most of the sitting members are former union lawyers or union reps.
As for trade roles - well it depends on the role really. Professionals with university degrees ofter think that they deserve top dollar the minute they finish university and think that their three years of education makes them worth more than someone with a lifetime of skills. They soon learn better when their first boss tells them that they are now qualified to learn!
Do you have apprenticeships in the US? Here all tradies have to get trade papers if they want the top trade salaries which they cannot get without completing an apprenticeship with accompanying theory. Those without get higher salary earlier as trades assistants but never earn as much as a tradie doss.
I am not a builder, but I think a carpenter who works ten to twelve hours a day and struggles to pay off the home loan, pay the kids education and feed the family might just argue that he is worth a bit more than bottom dollar.
That said - I do agree that unions are in it for themselves, but just the same in some countries they have brought about some big changes. I would hate to work without annual leave. Imagine having to beg for time off everytime the kids had a school function.

maybe stringing up the Union-Bosses with the Guts of the Labor-Politicians would solve a few problems! Possibly in other Countries too!

Lol. Probably true. Make sure you wait till they bring in annual leave first and then string em up. That way the average overseas tour bus will have more than the single token American on board.
