You saying that Pebs ...tell me are you happy living on your own in your beautiful world?? or would it be enhanced by a partner.I ask that because in one way you can come and go as you please, and enjoy the serenity. The other is twice the pleasure with someone you love

I understand the quandary you could be in if you fell in love.... because nothing would ever be the same again...which would be the biggest sacrifice and the biggest risk.

What you need maybe is a farmer wants a wife type scenario ...in fact thinking about it what a great idea for all singles having 3 of them on appro for a couple of weeks.

happy place hmmm hole super

i use a vlf detector, which stands for very low frequency.its a ground cancelling detector, that works on conductivity.they will locateany metalwith a conductive surfacewithin18inches totwo ftof theground surface.mine is an old one, a whites 6000d which i bought in the 80s,i,m still using it, but its no where near as good as the new detectors, as it doesnt do what you want,it doesnt pick up tiny pieces on the edge of the creeks.most of the new detectors you can submerge the head onlyand slowly scan a creek bed in shallow watwer ,but its hard to find any decent pieces that are worth any money, and a lot of times the detector wont respond to the tiny pieces..You can get a small gold wheel powered by a battery that you can put in your ute,its onlya couple of feet long, and you sift a small piece of gravel from between rocks orcrevices, put it on to the gold wheel ,and as it turns arouind, the gold if present will get caughtin the little spiralson the wheel.i had one that got stolen fom big river when i was camping there,we got four ouces of gold in a yuear with one of them.i think thats about 5000 bucks worth now.if you ring up the miners den in whitehorse rd mitcham,on 98731244,they wil give yo the best advice on the newer more acurate detectors.the newer gold wheels, actually come with a small bilge pump.and you can retrieve a lot moreprecious stones and gold in larger quantities.using a metal detector only is generally a waste of time on the creeks i reckon.better to save that for use on the gold diggings and old mills that are scattered around the country, ive found some fantastic stuff,an old bayonet 1907made by wilkinson sword for a 303,still with the scabbard all rotted stuck to iti cleeaned it up and hung it on the wall.i found that in jericho the old town that burned down in the 39 bush fires, and heaps of small nuggetts in diggings in western vic.give that store a call they might sell you a second hand detector.i know the gold wheel sells for about 800 bucks, pretty dear but you get it bac .and you find precious gems as well

That PDF file lists Historic Gold Mining Sites in Gippsland Mining District

Still, though not discounting your good advice, went ahead and pushed the buy now button on a Fisher F70 detector and paid for ten year Miner's Rights Licence to

you pay a premium when your buying coins, there actual "base metal value" can be less (in the case of silver) than the amount of silver in the coin which you would normaly be paying with the bullion price, because your paying for the minting as a coin.
Is probably still silver, but unless the coin has a collectors value in some circumstance its only worth what silver can be melted out of it...

robplum: $649 + $60 freight

Have you spotted the link i put in here to history gippsland mines, mentions alluvial finds the Chinese explored, some close round here, am indenting checking those and local knowledge sites to. Think lot flack gold in Tambo still which requires your sluse...the detector hasn't yet turned up, the F70 came out in 2008, has all the functions the F75 has but lacks trigger...can't wait to try it out hopefully soon...

thanks for info will check location
those leser known sites will be good, ive been trying an old mill up this way,and is good for relics, which is what i prefer,do you live near gibbo river?there is suposed to be good alluvial deposits there,
