If you look at the biggest railway tragedy this state has had for years, it was with a truck in Kerang. The truck didn't avert the accident even though it could do those things.

Obviously I read a lot of reports... And as I have lived in Swan Hill and Wangaratta ... the road is a familiar one to me. I think the driver had just returned from Leave, so he was in a very relaxed state. There were contributing factors and it's difficult to explain how things occur at times. I would not have liked to be the one deliberating in court over the outcome of that accident.
