As the time changes this weekend
winter is closing in all around.
Christmas is neight and all the
shops full of the decorations etc.,
The gifts are the nightmare trying
to buy for folks that have everything
what to get them is what does me in.
Any ideas anyone.
This is a clean thread and no negatives
please. wave

I'm spending Christmas with my daughter and son in law with 8 other people all of whom I know.

We are having a Secret Santa whereby everyone buys a gift, wraps it with no name on the parcel. It then goes in to Santa's sack and we all take pot luck. Should be fun on Christmas Day, 2 elderly ladies, a middle aged couple,2 upwardly mobile 40 year olds, 2 gay men,an ex footballer and a 30 odd year old.

The mind boggles.rolling on the floor laughing

Good news BB and it should be a super Christmas for you all, just enjoy it. Even this page had to get the negative its just too unreal.
Thankfully I have most of the shopping done regarding the gifts just the food to worry about and one big gift to buy the most important one.

My christmas gift list is shorter than it used to be. I buy or gift money to my immediate family and a couple of really close friends.

I love the build up to Christmas,I especially love decorating my tree, usually end up decorating my daughters too.

Being single definately makes Christmas Day morning a lot different than it used to be.

Sorry Sailfree but you asked for that one lol. You did seem to take great pleasure pointing out spell checker when you belittled scouse. When it was his laptop, not himuh oh grin But then again everyones plays up one time or another. Jeeeez my laptops the worlds worst grin

Anyway back to your question. I think most of us have the same problem at Christmas. Especially as it's usually the whole family racking their brains what to buy for who.
Giving money or gift vouchers seems easiest option, they can get what they want then. Although personally I wouldn't, to me there's no thought or meaning behind it.
Christmas huh, It's the most wonderful time of the year, and the most bloody stressful blues

Pssssst by the way, it's nigh! professor Sorry, I couldn't resist hole laugh

There is a whole hour long presentation for this this evening on Ideal World shopping channel on channel 22 on Freeview. I bought mine on 3 interest-free monthly payments and it is amazing - great for all ages and brilliant software to make movies. 50 frames a second too!

I know what you mean about giving gift vouchers/money etc. It seems so impersonal.

Mind you, I don't buy anyone any presents, too expensive. Oh I'll be buying my hamsters christmas presents, not the birds though as they have everything already laugh
