freesparrow: Okay, all I can see is the part where you state that teachers sit on their bottoms. You need to come to my school, Mister. I do not sit at all!!! I walk around the classroom ALL DAY, monitoring and assisting students. I have a 35 minute lunch break and I have students in my classroom most of the time while I eat, helping them with homework they did not understand or was not done. I do get to sit sometimes while I grade papers during my conference. I also make parent calls, make copies, complete paperwork, attend meetings. I tutor after school until 5:30 once or twice a week. I go home, grade papers, plan for the next day, etc. My day does not end when I leave the campus. I arrive at 7:30 am every morning. We are "on" all day, dealing with behavior problems, students with different needs and mental abilities. It is not a job for someone who wants to take it easy. I took a big cut in pay to do this job because I want to make a difference just the way teachers were my saviors. Without them I would have been lost in this world. Yes, we do have 2 and a half months off, but our pay is also lower than most other college-educated careers. Teachers are not in it for the money. I would like to see you do it for one year. The invitation is open. Come to my campus any day, any time. I challenge you to EVER find me sitting at my desk. The same goes for every teacher at my campus. You may be against public schools, but get your facts straight on a teacher's work.
Well, you guys do things a whole lot different out there than they do in Ohio and Michigan; whom I was focusing on.

Hmmmm.... interesting. Well, at least you did not insinuate I was a p*dophile the way your Northern friend did.....such a gentleman! I guess teachers AND men are very different in that area of the country.

ooby_dooby: The solution is simple. Take over Mexico and add all the Mexican states to the United States. Take down the border. Give the Mexican people our constitution and laws. They all become American citizens overnight. Everybody learn to speak Spanglish. Why fight it, in 20 years that's how it's going to be anyway. We could send in the American military to work with the Federaliies to wipe out the drug cartels.
