The internet makes it worse.

I was alone when I first logged into CS. But I was not lonely.

After joining and getting into the forums I met some good people but...

I became lonely... Cyberspace can be a bigger gap then real distance.

Response...

Actually I was getting a complex in the international forums because a lot of the time when I post the thread ends. No one posts after and it just winds into the past.

I think a major theme here is perception. It is interesting: ideas of closeness, feelings of aloneness, understanding of distance, and then add on cyberspace and time zones. But I hear from some who spend time in the wilderness that it makes them feel a great sense of connection.confused

I also have spent time in the wild. I was never lonely because nature was all around me.

What I am lonely for now is a different part of nature.

Well, I agree. And there's obviously a big difference between connecting with nature, for one thing, it's alot easier, than connecting with the "wilderness" of the human heart.
