Can't get up any enthusiasm this year for some reason. Got the tree and decos out, on my second beer
My daughter usually does it but since she got a car I don't see much of her
So wish me luck I know it is late but I know when I wake up on Xmas day and there is no tinsel in sight I will be devo'ed. so here goes .......

Hi Merri, was going to put on a CD put then realised I have moved the music system which I think I might toss out and upgrade, CD doesn't work, cassette deck ? who plays cassettes so I have put Music channel on Austar!

Seriously, I have not put up a single thing... and I have decided to not bother... I am not having Christmas at home, and there is enough decorative stuff at work, so apart from some candles, that will be all I am intending..

Well done Newlife... you did it..
I have spent the day in the garden, and I have overdone it... I know this because I am so tired, I cannot move, I had a headache, I never have headaches, so it will be an early night for me.
I am still at chopping down all the hollyhocks, because of this 'firebug' infestation. I also dug two large holes, for my root bound camellias ( have been in pots for so long , more than 10 years ) and I have been at it since 8am.. I have chopped down some roses, that were looking sick.. raked.. etc.. you get the picture...
I now have my bum permanently planted on the lounge room floor, and its not moving for anything...
we are going away 
so i dont see any reason to do it...

Thailand? Brilliant! sounds great. I have said for years if I can find that deserted island that I can go to, where there is no mention of Christmas, no tinsel and holly and all the madness that goes with it, I'll be there in a blink of an eye!

Hey NL, I've got no family this side of the world, so no ties.
I have many friends in Thailand, because I lived there a few years.
(the afore mentioned comments about christmas)
And, you have never experienced New Years eve until you have lived through New Years eve in Thailand - no sleep for at least two days (more likely three)The Thai's are the biggest party people on the planet... They even beat Bob Marley and the whole carribean...
So much of a no brainer for me... (sit alone in a two bedroom unit for a week - or go to Thailand for a month and party...)
Guess what I chose...
They let off nuclear bombs on Christmas Island, then gave it back to the locals who changed its name, then went off and set up a prison on another Island they now call Christmas Island.

Hi Arky, my son and daughter in law did last New Years in Thailand with about 20 friends.. they said they had the best bestest time.. said that there was no other new year celebrations like Thailand.. so I am guessing, you are going to have a wonderful time..
