tonyxf: Well, we will in the afterlife, wont we?

For those who truly believe that, it must still be cold comfort surely.

serene56: Even if two parents experienced the exact same tragedy, they could both respond and react differently.

And grieve differently.

Yes true, all my partner wanted to do was hold me,and all I wanted was to run away from every one and every thing. And about 12 mths later I took the two girls and ran away.

The bad part is people still find you.lol

Tony, it's always the stronger twin that dies and leaves the weaker one to carry on,
And just look at how strong of a man you have turned out to be. Well done Tony

It's so hard knowing what to say, or do.

Does anyone really know?

I mean I've read that when people hear about another's terrible tragedy they cross to the other side of the street as they are completely at a loss to know what to say to that person?

I just wanted to be left alone, l appreciated that all the fussing was done out of love but all l wanted was some space and time to myself. Im a very private person when it comes to my emotions so l needed to be alone to deal with it.

Faithe: Thier was a house fire last night at Dunkeld and the parents no matter how desperatley they tried couldnt save thier 8 and 3 year old children, they heard thier dying children screaming...that will be a scream that never leaves them. I feel so sad for them

We see these things as such sad occasions and feel deeply for all involved ...

Just imagine all the parents that live this day after day in their war torn countries ..

Sometimes I wonder if GoD ever bows his head down in shame .... cool

Plenty of people turn their backs on their faith when terrible, inexplicable things happen to them or their families.

I can understand that some people might find it acceptable to expound various theories and bible passages when it happens to someone else but one wonders how many would continue to do that should it happen to them.

Not many people have ever bothered to read the book of Job.

You know serene, talking about the bible,I had a church mob call on me one day after Kaylas as funeral, and they did help me to some degree.
As for people knowing how to handle the greif of others,it is so hard,I find I have to say something to the family.my neighbor of like 12 mths lost her husband about 3 mths ago he was ill and it was expected, but I was the first one to find out and I just waited until the police and funeral home had left, went to go over when all the family turned up.so I left it till about 2 days later then went over.It is a hard thing to know what to say,I think as long as the family knows that you are there for them is all you can say.

I was given a catholic bible on my 10th b/day read it for yrs front to back, fascinating stuff, too outdated for most people, plus you need faith and vision to understand. Of course, why are we forgetting in this thread the state of the house? Most houses are fire traps.
