Not a bit. Until you address the reason why people are poor then noting will change. More taxes for more government programs = money burning machines.
Everybody should pay their fair share.
Some people benefit from it because they are smart. Any poor person that is smart can do well however many prefer to say crap like "I'm poor and therefore don't have to even try to perform."
Money is not zero sum meaning the rich are not taking it away from everybody else as there is as much money as can be made so, the rich can still get richer and the poor can get rich too so, the question is,
why are the bulk of the poor poor as it has squat to do with the rich. Jobs abound for those that are willing to move and become versatile. Why do they prefer to remain in such terrible conditions when there is a virtual Nirvana with good paying jobs all over the place?
And why d0 they blame the rich when in reality, the rich do not affect them in any way but rather they themselves are responsible for where they are and what they do?

It's succeeded. If not for capitalism you would be typing your message out via smoke signals to a forum oif one - the other guy who knows how to read them. Without capitalism, aircraft would not have been built to move people and workers back and forth to produce energy and products that allow you to live your life as it is.
Without capitalism, we would simply regress to the stone age. That we have proved ourselves capable of exploring space shows that it works and, works beyond our wildest dreams.

Well he could have said the fact most financial institution needed help from their respective government is a good indicator. The fact bailouts goes againts everything in capitialism but those bastians of capitailism needed bailouts could mean that the structure as it is does not work...and in fact failed.
The capitalist regiemes failed as regulators, they failed as supervisors, they failed as corporate governance managers, they failed as risk managers, and they also failed in the allocation of roles and responsibilities for international economic organisations.
So they failed in a lot of things.

No I can't. But that does not take away from the fact that their is an argument that the current system has failed. The fact we may not be able to come up with a better system does not mean the current one works. Thats a very flawed argument.
