I do not have a problem with the inner city.
As for violence in the inner city . . . not worried. Easy to take down a drunken punk or three it the need arises.

I don't know Brisbane and suburbs very well at all so was waiting for someone who maybe lives up that way to come up with a venue??
If anyone is interested there is a great weekend coming up, 24th-27th May, Blues on Broadbeach which is 5 mins south of Surfers.
Great weekend of music, mostly free, outside venues, some in pubs, casino. Lots of great restaurants and bars. Usually a great crowd.
I will be going anyway but if anyone is interested in meeting up??
