I heard this on the radio, a village in Perthshire, Scotland is to be "twinned" with a town called Boring in Oregon, U.S.A. Well, not really twinned because they are too different. Dull is a small village and Boring is a larger town, so they can't be officially twinned. But imagine seeing a sign as you approach the village: "Welcome to Dull, a Sister Community of Boring?"
This got me thinking, do you know of any other places with funny, matching names like this?
For a start, how about twinning the town of Fart, in Virginia USA with the town of Blowhard, in Australia?
Muckanaghederdauhaulia, Co. Galway which literally means “pig-shaped hill between two Seas That is a good one, and don't worry, I found one to twin it with: Pigtown, in Baltimore
