jono7: i'm on an adventure, and for me...that requires openness to change.
i also think how one perceives things has a lot to do with it all.. i can choose to focus on the negative, the positive, the sameness or the differences...it's my choice how to perceive things.
and yup...love repeating myself... ya get what ya dwell on....
when i focus on the 'us', and i mean in any relationship, i am involved in, in the moment..it helps me to remember that other person has feelings, desires, fears...the whole shebang...and when i remember that..i tend to act with more kindness.
so i love being on an adventure... if i don't like how's it's turning out, i can always change my mind and choose something else.
I think it's great when two people embrace change for an 'us'. I think it signifies a desire to move on or to expand on what one knows about themselves and I think better results lie in substantial core challenges.
Some people dwell on what they get and it becomes a vicious determinant circle.
the most important thing is that one person is not trying to be controlling by telling the other person they have to change and no matter how fancy the words are that is often the end result
and it usually is a disaster. no one should be telling another person that they have to change, but supporting the changes they choose - whether it is together or not
Kaybee50: I would like to find someone who challenges me and inspires me. I don't mind at all having my eyes opened to different ways of thinking, ideas, and adventures.
Hope you find what you're looking for KB. Open minded is a great thing ... and you can be picky, selective and open minded at the same time. Picky and closed minded is quite something else, so me thinks you have the appropriate mind set.
