stanley8m: Yeah, it could go either way. All the games this week are really fifty fifty, last week showed just what a lottery the championship can be, and Partiro, agree there, and great to see Smith has that sharpness back.
Well when he has the swagger there isnt a forward (apart from the Gooch) that can touch him but unfortunately he doesnt have the swagger a lot lately

Overstatement much? laugh

Aside from that, I have to say I don't think much can be read into any results this year...nearly all teams have given wildly fluctuating performances...

Fair play to Townie, But I think Our Dub friend will disagree, lol,, I have seen him on song for the sash and he is awesome, If only he could reproduce that for Kildare in every game.

Well thats the trick...I happen to think Connolly is better than Brogan when he is 'on song'. The difference between the also rans and the Players of the Year is consistency.

No. I'd be a liar if I said I've seen him set the national stage alight. I've said to Stan before that I thought ye were lacking quality forwards. Most of Kildares defeats came from the scores drying up when playing the big teams.

I honestly don't think it's blinkered to be questioning a team that many, myself included, have considered to be in the top four in the country losing to the likes of Wicklow and Meath in Leinster.

After last week's results anything can happen. I can definately see the table having twists and changes before September.
What are we doing about the choosing the All Ireland winning teams? If I remember properly it was decided to make our predictions after the provincials. Therefore we have a possible 20 points on offer, The hurling is wide open between Kilkenny, Tipp and Galway and an outside chance for an improving Cork team, and as for the football, our Dublin friends can not see anything but Sam in Coppers again this year.wink
oh and Vinny, I love the new posting technique. laugh thumbs up

To be honest Stan I think 4 teams can win Stan. Dublin, Donegal, Kildare and Cork and I don't know how to call it at the moment/ Dublin need to up their performances as none of them will be easy bet. I can't see Tyrone or Kerry winning it and I wrote Kerry off before the season started to be honest. Donegal have added a lot to their game from last season which I was surprised at to be honest and they will give anyone a game. Galways win over the Cats has thrown some question marks over the hurling and I think there is more in that Tipp team than they have shown. Its fast becoming interesting.

Cork or Kerry, after that Dublin have an outside chance, that's it. Donegal will be gone by the quarters. I could be wrong though I usually am.
