robpacciani: Dublin will beat Mayo. Moran is out for the game, MASSIVE loss to mayo, and they need him in the team. Dublin were crap today, means nothing, they took Laois lightly, they wont take Mayo lightly.

Last year's Dublin team would beat Mayo. Not the way they have played this year. Every game a new excuse comes out. They have faced some very limited teams this year and really were blessed to still be in the championship.
Down are supposedly a better team than Laois and Mayo completely dismantled them this year. Mayo have played three games and there is a freshness to them. Dublin look jaded.

Why do Dublin need excuses? They keep winning! They can only beat the team that's put in front of them and that's what they are doing.

Dublin only play as well as they need to. They have always been like that. How often do you see them take a big lead and then take their foor off the gas? Dublin will raise their game for Mayo and beat them.

If that game tonight had been played on a neutral ground, Laois would be playing Mayo in the semi final. thumbs up

Did anyone hear Brolly spouting nonsense as usual completely writing off Mayo, Cork and Kildare, stating that the winners of Donegal and Kerry would be facing the Dubs in the final. Colm O Rourke just laughed and threw his eyes to heaven. Jeez no wonder Brolly got his nose broken twice for his famous goal celebrations of blowing kisses at the opposition fans.. laugh

At the end of the day, winning is what it is all about so I can't argue with that. But the teams they are playing and the level of football they are playing are terrible.
A lot of people seem to be making excuses for Dublin. After the Leinster final, people were saying that they were just waiting to peak later in the championship. Today people are saying that they didn't take the game seriously. These seem like excuses to me.

Well I for one never expected them to win by much today. Leinster football is more competitive than any other provence over the years I think. As long as Dublin win they are doing their job.
Dublin will play better when they meet better teams but I don't expect them to tear anyone apart. But I do think they will take Sam back to the capital again.

To be very honest. I was thinking right through the game, Dublin were awful and if Laois had been a bit more clever they would have neaten the Dubs. I think Mayo could beat the dubs as well.
There is a certain cockiness this year in Dublin and I don't really like that. Brogan was awful should have been hauled ashore at half time. Laois had their moments esp with goal chance mid way through the second half.

The ref really favoured the Dubs in the end. Only played 40 seconds of a minutes injury time and there were two subsitutions ?. The poor Laois fan bawling at the end. I felt really sorry for them.
My Money is on the winners of tomorrows games to lift the Sam.

Your right, they will take Sam back to the capital again.

To hand it to Donegal or Kerry.

sofarsogood74: All the Dubs can do is win. They always make things hard for themselves and the better the team they play, the better they play.

I'm very worried tbh. Our forward play has been abysmal. The amount of wides recently has been shocking. Very nervous displays and as reigning All Ireland champions that shouldn't be the case. We should be much more confident. That said we've scraped into the semis, and anything can happen from here, though a massive improvement is needed for the next match. We've missed A.B. big time

robpacciani: No , to balance it out, Take them out of Croker. Play the final in Croker if they get there.

The GAA are filthy with money. They don't need it. Spread the money to the west of ireland and to the midlands.. Dublin v Laois in Semple Stadium? Will hold 55,000 people, neutral venue, and will inject a lot of capital into that area of the country.

If Manchester United played every game of the season at Old Trafford, they would win everything. I don't think you realise how home support and a huge home crowd increases your chances of winning? How is that fair to the other teams in the country?

Of course I realise what home advantage does. But at the end of the day the GAA need to pay for Croker. They all need to subsidise a lot of other counties. And if other counties had the support they could get 50% of the tickets when they are playing Dublin. It's not Dublins fault they don't have the support.

Dublin went 16 years when home advantage didn't do them any good and there wasn't a peep out of anyone. As soon as they win an all Ireland again people start moaning about them.

The fact is most other counties are jealous of Dublin and they support they have. And a lot don't realise the huge % of revenue Dublin fans bring to the GAA. And that revenue is spent at clubs all over the country.

Dublin are always the same. They just do enough. They will beat Mayo and I expect them to take Sam again.

Ye only have that support because ye play at home every singe time and also because it is the capital, and has huge population. The best supporters in the country for the size of county and population are Kilkenny by a street. They would fill Croker every time they played there if they had the chance. All Hill 16 is is a big bunch of alco's and druggies that try go intimidate people and start fights with the opposition supporter's. Half of them have probably never kicked a football.

So Man United have no advantage when they play at home because the expectation is huge?

Jessica Ennis has no advantage in the olympics performing on home soil because the expectation is huge? She just happened to win gold and smash all her records.

Oh look. Mo Farah just won gold too!

If you can't see that home advantage is a huge help, you need help. But of course, you are a Dub.

Kilkenny fans pile in for All-Ireland's. None of there other Leinster games ever have a serious following. I was at All-Ireland semi-finals over the last ten years where Kilkenny were playing and their fans have always been out-numbered by Waterford and Cork fans especially.

Thats a stupid comment. Dublin cant help they are in the capital and it has the biggest population. But they still have the biggest and best support. Simple. Doesn't matter why they do, they just do!

Oh that just rings of Jealousy. How do they great KK supporters do when it comes to football???laugh You would be lucky to get 5 of them up to Dublin. But hurling they all arrive. Its easy to support a winning team...Dublin went 16 years without winning anything and their support was as big as ever.

Best supporters in Ireland! Up the Dubs!!!!!

Kilkenny has a population of 26,000.
Cork has a population of 480,000.
Waterford has a population of 108,000.

I did say for the size and population of the county.

Croker is a different type of atmosphere. As is 1-match-knockout-style competition. The pressure on the Dubs when they play is enormous. Anyone who says otherwise obviously hasn't watched Gaelic Football much over the last 20 years. It's been there for all to see. For the most part other counties haven't had that pressure to contend with

Dont bother arguing with him. His arguments are silly and just ring of the jealousy Dublin get all the time.
