jimbo79: he is that but as a manager not so sure about him.
who will meath go for? surely back inside the county, although john evans was part of bantys backroom team the last few months
Banty more of a spoofer than manager but a great spoofer. Geraghty involved in the set up and Boylan was approved by county board earlier this year. I would think someone from the Boylan era but not necessarily the man himself.

they need a lot of work, i know they got to the leinster final but that was not their true position, they have some good players but lack a solid midfield

Jeez that isn't saying much for our midfield, Meath bloody destroyed us there the last few times we played them. I agree they have some quality players, I think Banty wasn;t playing them to their strengths. Meath have never played a running game and the clubs in Meath bring on their young players through traditional Kick and catch football. They are good at that so why change it. I seen the same thing in Kildare the first year McGeeney took over, had us playing like Armagh and it didn't work as Kildare clubs play the traditional Kildare , short passing, running game, backs linking with forwards , ok its suicidal but it looks good and we like it,lol. Horses for courses, although all teams have to evolve, it should still retain the style they are comfortable with. Can you see this current crop of Meath players improving under new management?

mcgeeney has struggled to find a good midfield, not all his fault as injuries played a part, but carlow the first day and laois cleaned meath out in midfield.
no you are right, the game meath play now is not their game, but have they the players to do it in their traditional style, i don't think so, they need a root and branch over haul, get rid of all connections to the old regime and bring in someone new maybe a liam hayes or gerry mcentee, but the most important position in any county is the board, if you don't have the right people on that you are at nothing

Liam Haye's would be a interesting appointment. I have a suspicion that Colm O'Rourke may want the job. Meath need to a massive overhaul all over the place and the first place is start is at County Board level.

my feeling is that o'rourke might go for chairmans job which will be available this year
Just a reminder to everyone who hasn't posted their tips this week and after watching the weather forecast for the weekend, make sure to bring a good quality raincoat with you to croker, it may be sunny in Cork and Donegal but thunder storms and heavy showers are forecast for the east coast of Ireland. Oh and best of luck to everyone.

i tipped cork to win the all ireland, but i think kildare have a great chance sunday, cork will give away goal chances as the backline is quite slow it will be up to kildare to get their running gamegoing

Thats my thinking too.i really think cork not playing a meaningful game is a serious disadvantage to them.id hate if dublin hadnt had a decent game for 2 months.kildare have a bit of momentum. cork are been punished for beating kerry.its all a bit strange.ive 20 on kildare to win
