modermen: Sure some people make mistakes and love can be blind ,but I always here women say I want to marry a rich man and settle down and maybee divorce him,now I spose theres two ways of seeing that a rich man can give all the things a kid needs but hes also at risk due to her making a divorce and the chances are 50/50 and 70% chance she will be doing the divorcing.
i would rather marry a poor man with no money and be happy than marry someone purely for money and be unhappy dunno

Actualy Sal your right there, better of geting married with little than being loaded as then there would be less to loose.

i would never go into any relationship looking at what i stand to lose, theres nothing to be gained by even starting a relationship with that view because it is doomed from the start.

chattychick09: haha so funny that first bit......but i agree i dont know anyone either who married for money .....

i have a friend who could be considered wealthy..and those fears did enter the head..to the point where they only dated people of the same ...wealth..

to no avail..there was no love match just economic familiarity..i told this person that the mistake was in assuming that they would have to fun the other person..a person with pride and integrity would never take advantage..

and with that advice taken on they found their match and is happily married and trying for children and their spose is indeed someone who works hard and doesnt expect something for nothing..they are indeed very much in love and a lovely match..

I think as many men as women are looking for a committed relationship.
And they are equally as scared about it as some women are.

We find a certain comfort in the familiarity. Not being open to change as maybe we fear opening ourselves up. Being vulnerable. We'd rather stick with how things are rather than risk being hurt.

i think thats the main thing that stops people from taking the leap into a relationship. being honest i would be one of those people, i know im not the only girl in the world to have been hurt but i am very wary about who to let in and that sometimes gets in the way of things dunno

fifitheminx: far from cold hearted fathead..just confident im strong enough to not let someone rip me apart..as i said i learned this the hard way..and if u did it once..u then know how to fix urself after..

sure if you don't feel anything when its over then it didn't mean anything in the first place...I can't see how it could get easier or is there some truth in this saying "The first cut is the deepest"ireland
