Phoenix: I seen a short video on BMI index about 10mins ago at my local quacks. They said the same.

I had to mentioned that (incase Fast twisted it to suit his arguement)

He doesn't know what his argument is at this stage. He has gone from pride in your apperance, to living healty lifestyle, to feeding kids the right food.laugh

Women can be beautiful to my eyes all the way form about 15% body fat the whole way nearly to 40%. Actually I would dare say women have it easier on the numbers than men.... A man at 40% Body fat you could say is in bad shape altogether.

Have heard body fat % is more accurate than bmi but had no idea how the numbers compared - reading this went and looked at pic of woman with 40% body fat v man with 40% body fat and there's a very clear difference. Interesting.

^^ All the way to 35% is good for me. After that and she better have a great personality.

The guys with less than 10% body fat just do not appeal to me at all - over 15 looks better - and with the women - the girl at 30% body fat looks better than the one at 25% (but that's just my perception of course!) I guess it's cos she is curvier and if I was into women then it would be curvy ones. blushing

I don't think so - a lot of people say it's an outdated standard that hasn't been updated in decades to take into account better nutrition, larger frames etc.
I think body fat % ratios increase with age - ie normal at 18 is higher at 30 etc.
But that's only based on what I read since Maddogs post.

Going to the gym 3-4 days a week now.Doing a mixture of stuff. Tried the 6 small meals a day thing last weekno carbs after a certain time, struggled with it, probably part of the reason I let the hair down at the weekend.

Light years ahead of where I was so that is the way to look at it.
