Interested in learning how to play golf and was wondering what the best courses are and if there is a cheaper way to play rather than pay the high membership costs?

The best courses are the ones that skip out the first 18 holes and go straight to the 19th laugh

bold :P was raised with golf...My dad started as an artisan as a kid and then as a caddy...It gave them access to the club early mornings and later at night at that time...Know the game long before it became *popular* in the last 25 yrs or so..Depending on how serious you are cld recommend a few clubs, even tho am not a fan, know it very well...Depends how serious you are :)

A game for evil people and stems from an archaic Land owners right to walk across any terrain of land and steal from the peasantry .

By removing a bill of sale which has now been replaced by a white ball the Landlord is able to evict the tenants and was the defining moment of rehersals of the Plantation of Ireland using the Ulster scots as Caddys (The term Cad is now used as a person who can minipulate to gain wrongfully)

Some people believe that it was the game that Originated in Escotia.

You will note that The Term club is still used as an Opressive term .The clubs are used as weapons an had it not been for an act passed by the then Pope Our ancestors would of been beaten to a TEE .

most courses are crying out for members...gone are the days of huge membership fees...5 or 600 a year would get you membership to a decent club but uno is right..you can pay as you play...very few membership only golf courses left..the recession has put an end to thatireland

I am a member of 2 golf courses, Ballina and Enniscrone. Membership for the year totals €1,500 for the year, which is great value. Someone said paying green fee's is cheaper, it certainly is not.

Let's take Ballina as an example. €600 for the year. Green Fee is 25 quid. If you play regularly you will play at least once a week, if not more. 1 green fee a week works out at €1,300. Yet you can play 24 hours a day, 7 days @ €11.50 a week. If you can't afford membership, save up for the following year, no looking back than, there is a great social aspect to being a member also.

If you have any queries, send a PM. thumbs up

That is one of the real perks of being a member. You can go into the ladies changing room and install a mini CCTV monitor.

A lady wearing white silk golf trousers, and a bright green thong really catches the eye. wow
