the same kind of difference between a transistor radio and a wall-to-wall console. Convenience in portability. (a very wide-spectrumed pc-cell phone now fits in the palm--fyi)------ This thread is Archived ------

I gave my Ipad to my daughter for school. Its convenient for her to take to class. I found I never used it as I have my Airbook. However, when your looking at tablets Aliman keep in mind that they are not full on computers and dont have the same capabilities.
I think they will in the future, but right now they are not the same.

The thing about tablets is they seem to be improving very quickly as well as becoming more affordable all the time. If you dont need one right away I would wait awhile until a few generations are released on the market.
