I know I've had a few of these threads in the past, but in recent times I have been posting here less and less and I think it really is time to cut the chord. I have decided to give up on internet dating as a means of meeting someone as it just didn't work for me. I have decided to go down the dating agency route instead, there is one based in Cork with a very good rep and whose rates are reasonable. Also, frankly, I grew bored with the fora eventually, the GAA threads were all I had been staying for and I have contacts for most of the gaa heads anyway.

What this site has given me however is a few people that I am glad to count as friends and I will stay in touch with them. To MOST of the rest of you can I just say I enjoyed the banter over the years and hope ye get whatever it is ye are looking for from this site, be that the love of your life, your hole or just something to relieve the boredom.

I will single out one person in particular to give a message to and that is Pedro. My friend, while your religious threads may have had me tearing my hair out over the years, you have been to hell and back, you are on top now, try to stay there, there will be bad days, but try to remember how far you've come and it will keep you going.

To the rest of ye, take her handy and keep her lit!

I think you take the site too seriously! And I don't think you really are ready to leave it yet, the main reason being that your note seemed very emotional and shows that you aren't ready to cut all ties with the site yet. And before you have a go at me, I'm just observing this is all and not having a go.
