I need your help womens (or mens laugh ) my hands resemble that of a man of advanced years, ie very dry and cracked skin, particularly my knuckles......very sore and stingy crying

I've been working outside a lot and I reckon the dry cold wind has made them very dry. I tried E45 and Savlon, the latter works best for a short while but doesnt last dunno

Should I man up and pour petrol over them or is there any lovely lotions I can obtain blushing laugh

go to Boots and ask for help from a shop assistant

That sounds like the wrost case of dermal manginitis I've heard of since John Gibbons went on the children's zip line in Ringsend. Pour the petrol over your head mate. Put yourself out of your misery laugh

I don't particularly like it myself and am glad that I only ever pass through it laugh

Seriously though, the same thing happened my hands when I was moving house

It was December, bitterly cold and I was constantly washing my hands. The skin on my hands was all cracked and extremely painful. I went to a chemist and they gave me some kind of concoction in a brown bottle....lethal stuff, stung like hell but worked a treat.

My advice, stick to Neutrogena thumbs up

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream..trust me. I use it for everything! Works on skin and dry lips, cuticles, fuzzy hair..miracle gear! Even helps ease dermatitis..any good chemist, or boots should have itcheers

I dont see it mentioned here...

Use 'Barrier Cream' before doing manual labour tasks, is acts as a barrier to contaminates and moisurises as well...I also use a hand cream call neutragena norweigen formula, expensive, but i have hands as soft as a babies bum...

I wear gloves for general work, lifting etc, but for finer stuff its hard to get a good tight fitting pair of gloves that arent cumbersome or generally get annoying after a few mins laugh
