Being a guy its like guy cleaning everything gets done but it takes longer! So this week I had left the dishes a little longer than normal?
Tonight the kid washed the dishes for the first time in three months? She does it at work? But she did have dermatitis a few months ago,
I just wonder how long I need to leave the vacuuming? Until she wakes up that I am not the hired help?

Its not my fault she is turning into a neatness freak?

Not possible to train teenagers....they know everything.

My mum used to say she had the smartest granchildren in the world. Her children knew more than her, and their children know more than themrolling on the floor laughing

Training teenagers...

Well, I didn't have a hope..
My house was an open house with lots of their friends here all the time.

They went through a stage where if one cooked brekkie, the other would not use the same pans.. it was shocking.. a mess all the time. sigh

They did so much sport, so there were always smelly boots and wet gear hanging around ... the laundry was disgusting.sigh

The bedrooms... OH dear...doh
They went through a stage where both would play different music, and bicker and fight boxing over who's CD belonged to whom

They foughtboxing for dominance, and I had holes in their bedroom doors.boxing
(I had to replace all the doors when they left)
sigh sigh

But to top it.. they both chose cars to pull apart and do up.. so the fridge and kitchen was covered in black from their hands , when they got hungry, they would just come in and grab, make food. sigh

and to make it worse still, they both studied arts... so I had paper , and portfolios everywhere, in their rooms, in the lounge, in the dining, doh

It was a nightmare.. sad flower

But, the end result was good.. joy

They are able to put their hands to many things. yay They both have degrees and good jobs... but the best that they learnt ..

They are not at all lazy and are progressing nicely in life. cartwheel

As for me, It's no wonder I prefer to live a quiet life... I am still shattered from those years rollers

I didn't have a hope growing up, nor my brother and sister. We had our chores we had to do. And had to make our own beds every day.

It was a very open house, kids and adults all the time. But before anyone came in from outside, straight to the laundry to get cleaned up.

Brother and I were into cars as well, always trying to get one of 4 right, or mates would come down because we had the big garage and all the tools. But had to be clean before going inside.

Sort of carried on with my brother and I. My kids were taught from an early age that if they make a mess, they clean it up. Okay, up until they went to school, my wife was at home looking after them and did a lot of the stuff but they were expected to keep their rooms tidy, and to put away their stuff in other rooms. As they got older, they also had chores to do like feeding the dogs and cats and the rabbit, and looking after the vegie patch. And my brother's were taught the same.

My sister though had 3 girls. She didn't work after the first was born and did everything for them (except wipe their behinds). Everything else. Made their beds, picked up all their clothes off the floor, put all the clean clothes away. When her husband left and she was in a right pickle, she expected the girls to start doing chores. It was a bit late to start.

"Why should we. We have never done it before." Damn teenagers. Funny thing is that as each left home, they have had to do it all for themselves.rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

No her room is spotless! I gave her the option!

After all would you want your dad cleaning your bedroom when you were a teenager?
