Actually, evidence I've seen is to the contrary. Babies of interracial couples get whiter with each generation.
The only thing that ever moves me to antipathy/("hate") is the eagerness of others to feel and spread antipathy. Even then I don't feel hate. It's more dispirited disappointment. Every time I encounter it I need a day of withdrawal from the world to forgive it all again. <Bilious mode OFF>

Actually, my question to Dad had nothing to do with any of that. I was eight and innocent and I had a friend with whom I played every day and I really enjoyed him. After a while, I loved our friendship and I loved him, and so his wrapper and the color of his caramel skin, meant nothing. Love looks past surfaces. Fear finds surfaces impossible to transcend because all fear can see in surfaces is its own reflection.
While I agree that there is a strong antiwhite sentiment in the world, that sentiment is not my responsibility and returning hate or fear will only spread more of the same. There is also a very strong and understandable (and perhaps even "justified") antiAmerican sentiment in the world today. As an American all I can do to counterbalance that is be a better example of what I stand for than what my government and fellow citizens have thus far demonstrated. I am a friend to the world and to you even though, clearly, I am not influenced by the fear you experience as a white person whose race you believe to be "in decline and under attack".
A problem cannot be solved by the same mentality that created it.
