Lots of peeps ATM have been sick with the flu - virus on CS glad we can't spread germs over the net

My knee has gone out in sympathy with Serene's knee mine needs to be replaced . Will pop a pill shortly otherwise I'll never make it to bed as its upstairs
Still think its the cushings but meh ill rest

mickyj63: Was awoken by the cat 5 minutes before the alarm went off . And after another broken nights sleep . I know I'll waste an annual leave day or two .
But I can't keep going on like this . I think its this Cushing's they are testing me for .But it could be something else .
Just and I mean just walked back upstairs my bad leg just gave me hell .Breathing is hard to do without effort .
So in 30 minutes I'll call up work and then at 6.30 drive to the doctors !!
Christ I ach my chest aches and my back in more spots than where my arthritis is . My hips have been getting pins and needles in them when I walk . My legs feet arms face palms of my hands at various stages of the day have all turned red or flushed . And I'm still warm wish me luck

Saw a specialist yesterday and it's a torn cartilage requiring surgery.
I'm not in a health fund so will be joining the queue for public hospital treatment.
This could take some time obviously so have been in touch with the boss and told her the situation.
The ball's in her court basically as I don't have a great deal of leave left to play with ..
However, what will be will be and as long as I take it easy my injury, which is tolerable at the moment, should not deteriorate. However if at some stage that does happen, I will contact my super fund.
So I'm ok, in answer to your question, and looking at it as an unexpected (although a little uncomfortable) rest and prepared to just deal with whatever happens

Serene, I have always been happy with public hospital treatment. We are lucky aren't we in this country. Just hope your wait isn't too long and you are resting comfortably.

Might seem a silly question are you in a union ?
If so they maybe able to ask if you can have leave and get paid for it now rather than later . This happened at my work with the union rep she needed a week off had no leave was in hospital having a procedure . Company agreed to pay her now instead of later,
