Well I get it! If some one goes to a website your IP address is recorded there. And if he owns that site all he has to do is look at these posts and see where it is from and match it with the your IP location and time and he knows who and where you are and can possibly hack into your computer! That is why you should always use a proxy’s when clicking on links from sites like these! You also may want to look up Phishing and Social Engineering

Although I am sure the op is a decent guy so no ill intent to him. But security is not opening links unless you know the sender well!!!!
