Putin is a hypocrite and an awful man. As much as I don't think the US should get involved in Syria the last man to tell them not to should be Putin. Good article in the Irish independent today on it.

"Putin knows better than most what pre-emptive strikes against neighbours can do.
After all, this is the same man who launched military strikes against Georgia and Chechyna.
Did he seek ratification from the UN before launching those strikes? No, he did not

In fact, in 1999 he also took to the pages of the New York Times and wrote another op-ed piece in which he sought to explain his actions for getting Russia involved in the first Chechen conflict.

Then Russian Prime Minister, Putin wrote: “No Government can stand idly by when terrorism strikes. It is the solemn duty of all governments to protect their citizens from danger
Funny that he doesn’t take that viewpoint now."

Putin was a official in the St. Petersburg's Mayors office during the 1st Chechen war. He was a nobody then. laugh The Irish newspaper has no point on Georgia either. The first targets by Georgian BM-21 MLRS were internationally sanctioned UN Russian peacekeepers stationed in Tsckinvali. The Russians are obligated by law to protect them.
And there lies the contradiction. If the West has no problem with Gerogia attacking it's own citizens with area denial weapons... then how can they preach to others doing similar?

Where they fall down was their operation in the West in Abkhazia. That had no basis under international law. Although Kosovo was used as the precedent.

Saudi Arabia is one of the biggest funders of international terrorism in the world. The only reason they still exist is the oil.

In 50-100 years when oil starts running out in that country there will be a huge change in that area. It might even run out quicker as emerging markets start booming in South East Asia and Africa. All the same time, US and Canadian reserves will start producing more and more.

Surely if there will be fighting on the Mediterranean, Spain will take the opportunity to seize Gibraltar.
Then Britain will attack Spain and Italians will run

We can soon stop buying oil from the Saudis.

Oil is a commodity. It doesn't matter where the oil is drilled. Most Middle Eastern Oil is sent to their practical neighbours.... like Japan, China and tanked to places in Europe. If a tanker blows up in the Persian Gulf, the price of oil pumped out of the North Sea, or Alaska or wherever will go up. That's how global commodities work. While they still produce millions of barrels a day it doesn't really matter. The demand for oil will increase and increase. While they hold their reserves they will matter.

Putin was Russian Prime Minister during the Second Chechen War. Sure why would he get media time in the US if he wasn't an important man. Plus he invaded Georgia without any UN resolution. The man is a hypocrite. All he cares about is his trade with Syria.

And all you have to do is either remember or google;

When Putin was elected ,Russia was bankrupt. The nation owed $16.6 billion to the Rothschild-run International Monetary Fund while its foreign debt to the Rothschild-controlled Paris & London Club Of Creditors was over 36 billion dollars.
Its the same people who financed the revolution back in 1917 and the disintegration of the USSR(SSSR)

Putin Bans Russian Officials From Owning Foreign Rothschild Bank Accounts & Stock now guess who controls the medias
as a result of that Putin was not popular in the medias (this is a mild expression)
