I agree with the hard to trust. I should have phrased it the ones who are willing to work at the relationship as much as you are and be a partner not user. I just do not know how to choose the right guy.... I just want some to treat me how I treat them, love me as deeply as I do them and give as much as I do to make things work. Why does that seem impossible?

Maybe if you stopped measuring his love and effort and trustworthiness against yours, maybe then you'd find him.

Maybe.....but then again why shouldn't I. When I didn't then I was used and walked all over. So why shouldn't they have to meet netter standards.

I wondered, what makes some people, to elevate themselves as FIRST BEST,and judging others as SECOND BEST.-laugh
hoolet: cos we´re not prepared to settle for second best. It´s better to be alone than in the company of someone who doesn´t make your heart sing.

It just sounds too transactional in my opinion, like one ounce of love for two ounces of commitment. I prefer to act as if I were rich: give without asking for return.

I don't know if What I am trying to say is coming across right. I agree with you especially about the giving. But wouldn't it be nice for once to find someone who gives as much as you or thinks like you in the idea of giving with no expectations of the same. It gets old when you give and give and give and don't even receive that one ounce back from them. That's not right and that's almost like that poor puppy dog that gets kicked to the curb and keeps coming back...there comes a time when you almost have to stop and say I deserve to be treated better... Well I'm at the I deserve better point. I'm tired of giving and giving. I want and deserve to have someone who feels the same.

Understood. It seems you've already tried the bad and the ugly... perhaps it's now time for the good hug

jenndis2002: Remember in high school/college how easy it was to find someone to date or "fall in love with". Why now is it so hard to meet someone? I just don't understand? Can someone help me out here.

I dont find it any harder now that I did when I was a teenager, it was almost impossible then to.
