montemonte: It's not hard to find someone.

It's hard to trust someone so people hold back and don't make the first step in fear of getting hurt.

That's it in a nutshell. thumbs up

KNenagh: Simples, less choice.

The older we get, the less singles are around. Ok, at some stage you start meeting people on round 2.

Looking at guys between 35 to 45 - a lot simply don't want a relationship or had bad experiences and well, don't want a relationship.

I would change that to read:
Looking at PEOPLE (Guys AND Gals) between 35 to 45 - a lot simply don't want a relationship or had bad experiences and well, don't want a relationship

cos we´re not prepared to settle for second best. It´s better to be alone than in the company of someone who doesn´t make your heart sing.

Perhaps the biggest stumbling block is the courage to open yourself up to possible hurt, rejection and the inevitable change in your lifestyle and routine. For some those concerns are enough to keep them from taking that little step from flirtation and friendship into something deeper and hopefully, infinitely more fulfilling. dunno

I can only hope that some day, the one I'm willing to open my heart to, finds me equally worth taking a risk on...
