I know what you mean, pedro, and I can't say for sure.. but it very much appears my beloved Papa sent me a message 2 days before my Mama was to follow him. Could have been just a completely utterly insane coinscidence, but I have experienced a few very strange things in this life, so while I remain agnostic, I tend to think there possibly is more to it all. Without scientific proof I'd not claim it for definite though.

sorry to hear about your parents.
i find there is a mystery in relation to life, kind of like a spiritual journey that can leads us down roads unbelievable to others, which can hinder or enhance our path
Green_Sleeves: Thank that intelligence comes at a price too, we don't deal well with grief, unlike other species that tend to just 'get on with with' we want to believe theres something more. I suppose its comforting when a loved one dies to believe they have just passed on to another place and given time we will see them again, in this.......happy place; the afterlife. Afterall, what comfort can be derived from believing that they simply exist to be and we will never see them again; even if this is the truth. Actually, don't elephants mourn, or at least display signs of it, they can recognise the remains of elephants from their...herd or family?

Swans do as well, they bond for life and when the mate dies, it can even happen they will die of grief.
Pedro, it is a valid question, that people will have opinions on, with none being able to prove either way. I will definitely not call it one way or another, but thank you for your words in regards to my parents *smiles warmly*

Elephants do hang around after a death and if they pass the bones of a member of the heard that died in the past they stop and smell the bones and hang around for a bit.
It is nice to think of a place in the clouds that is perfect and we all go there after here but it's all just crap. We have evolved from apes and apes don't have a heaven.
Religion was invented before we had structured societies. It was the only way to keep people from killing and robbing each other.
pedro27: anyone who ever sinned in any shape or manner was there because god suffered
I like a few message from the New Testament, but I would never have wanted anyone to die and suffer for my sins. And should there be a Judgement Day, I will stand for my mistakes alone and not wish to have them forgiven by anyone but those who had to suffer from my failings.
The sin part is something I never quite could understand, as to me it sounds like I just need repent and feel sorry and all will be okay, but I rather learn from my mistakes because I feel bad others were let down by me, so that I do not repeat where I failed. It is my responsibility to them and those I might still encounter, which makes me want to learn and not fail, not some promise of an afterlife.
No disrespect though to your belief. Just not someone to believe in those messages myself.
