The Eurosceptic Dutch politician Geert Wilders and French National Front (FN) leader Marine Le Pen have launched what they call an "historic" alliance for next year's European elections
"The time of patriotic movements being divided is over," said Ms Le Pen, calling it "an historic day".
"Today is the start of the liberation of Europe from the monster of Brussels," said Mr Wilders, who heads the Freedom Party (PVV).

There is a monster that threatens Europe
War. Pretty much, there has been a major war in Europe every 40 years since the 10th century BC
The European Union when founded in 1948 stopped wars in Western Europe completely.
Long live Brussels, long live the EU: I'd rather lose a bit of sovereignty than lose my life fighting the Germans, French or any other brother nation over some pointless trivia.

The point you are missing is, if you fully join EU you are surrendering to the Germans without fight. EU is just the 4. reich in making.
Delatude: I am less worried about the Germans than the Commies in Brussels.
Failed Commies most of them. You know, EU elections in this country are only contested by the very worst politicians. There the ones that can't get elected to the lower or upper houses of parliament so they run for the EU elections. And ironically it's them lot that are making the most strategic of decisions for us.

The morons are so worry for they jobs that anyone contesting their suicidal policies are called the far rights or xenophobes. The amazing parts, many believe them after being shoved an utopian ideal down their throat without a referendum. A little like the foxes guarding the hen house.

GUZMAN1: Sure that EU will be a fourth reich if these patriotic fronts join.
Rise of the Fourth Reich, how Germany is using the financial crisis to conquer Europe By SIMON HEFFER
Yesterday’s crisis meeting between Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy was arranged before the participants knew of the disastrous growth figures in the Eurozone that emerged in the morning. The background to the meeting was last week’s tumult in the world financial markets. Shares had gone into freefall after the downgrading of America’s credit rating.
Worse than that, however, were the tremors rattling some of Europe’s most important banks, notably in France, caused by further evidence of the utter failure of even the more developed European economies to live anything like within their means.

This is unlikely to remain the case and Mrs Merkel knows it.
That is why yesterday she played down talk of the European Central Bank — funded by German-backed Eurobonds — paying off the debts of these all-but-bankrupt nations.
