skippyguy: True yes and no....regrets sometimes are where you wish things had turned out differently...for better or worse hard to say,..Having Just been in peru (very poor country..) there was people asking for money all the time, Homeless alot of as well..you cant cater to everyone...
In the situation above. let the guy eat for godsakes (even though a actor..), as to how he got to where he may be,,,..thats unknown !

i try to Learn everyday..Just not from regrets...Live and learn :)

well i cannot disagree with your comment, or say it is right or wrong. but basically, by your last statement, you reinforce the idea of "regrets are mistakes you don't learn something from".

regarding Peru, I know what you mean. Lived there for about 1 year. and by the way, it does have one of the strongest "private/ individual" support group i found in S. America.

cheers

Well put it this way........Regrets yes iv have, but i believe i have learnt from those, doesn't mean they are stil not regrets or mistakes....some people believe in Karma and the Like..Personally i don't think i do, but some would say what goes around comes around..bigger fish..etc
Strongest support groups...wow i would not have guessed cheers

I have no idea where you get the idea of karma or any the like in the statement. . I dont. errors we all make, and we move on.

the actions on some circumstances thats is what the statement is about. the statement is associated with a video. and the actions of some people. thats all.

cheers

I actually did cry! He is absolutely right! You never know someones hardships, If you've never been there! I was homeless before too, many years ago. Would I help someone in need now? ABSOLUTELY!

Bogart_1960: humm. i can see what you are talking about. but look it more in the sense of "action speaks louder than words" or "what you do makes a difference."

we have to learn from our errors as society. and not doing anything, we might "regret" it later.

It's Certainly true.........Actions do Speak louder than words...cheers on many Plains !, the thing is at times u wish the words stood up closer to the actions !...laugh

Torless: Ccincy, great post. All they want is to be treated with dignity, like everyone else. The homeless are all someone's brother, sister, mother, father, son or daughter.
Absolutely Torless , wouldn't we do all we could to help our own in a similar situation .

Those that don't and I know there are such cold heartless people ought to take themselves aside and value what they've got sigh

Thank you Torless I've worked with homeless people from the time my son was in grade school.I've even adopted a homeless family for the holidays which I know brightened their day.

I was even involved in a secret Santa group of people who furnished Christmas for a mother and her children.
