That been my question all along.I read in the news that the U.S. had built a new navy ship that will be ready to launch in 2016 I think it said.The money that it cost for that could've fed and clothed a lot of people .

not exactly, but close. all have to do, as you know, with resources, economic expansion, region control and superpower games. i am talking US Government policies, not US people.
but between China and US dominance, 1 million time US policies, anytime.
anyway, US has a huge problem with China as a main creditor. and is not with "money supply" that the problem can be resolved (even "controlling" M0,M1, M2).

We have welfare, food stamps, disability ins., SSI, WIC, Medicaid, shelters, etc.

Hmm unlike you and others I prefer to view china as one of the largest investors in the U.S.A. instead of viewing us being in debt to them. And, as any informed sources should agree, the facts show the u.s.a. government owes us citizens a heck of a lot more money than what is needed to pay on investments made by china and japan, combined, in the u.s.a. The debt we owe ourselves is huge..........
