JeanKimberley: Not many people know that I am afraid of my bread machine.

I was at the beggining too but then I use program # 4 for all breads and voilá.

Place the wet (milk, water, oil, etc) ingredients first in the container, then the flour or a mix of them + salt, etc..(follow the recipie) and on top place the yest and the sugar then select #4 in the menu.

When the machine is mixing the ingredients give it a hand until the mix is uniform. Sometimes a little more of liquid might be needed or a little more of flour to get a nice consistency of the dough.

When the machine makes the bip bip again just take the litle spade from the botton and let the machine do the work.

Sometimes I take the bread 10 min before so it will not be too dark but it all depends on your taste.

chatonlyman2: My new coffee maker is not the greatest.

Now we got your secret about your coffe maker chatonlyman!

laugh

My Grandma and my Mother used to make the coffee on the stove using very inexpensive pots. My Grandma used to have a white one with a bigh mouth so when the water was boiling she would place the ground coffe and turn the stove off and place a ceramic plate on the top and voilá. My Mother used a blue pot with a bick like a tea pot. Both of them used to roast and grind the coffee beans at home, I know how to make the coffee, the chocolate and tortillas at home.
(just a bit of marketing hereblushing )

The coffee beans quality is more important than the coffee maker I think.
