Sorry for the rant !! I didnot answer the question - There can only be corruption whilst others stay silent and silence is compliance.
If you look at Iceland and other countries people took to the street, as happened in the 'Grey power' here outside the Dail. it took the older person to show up and change policy.
Corruption, cronyism, greed, we went out and voted Labour and Fine Gael given promises to an end to all this... only to see more of the same, and worse !! Apathy, in one word. 'sure what can we do ' and a legal system here whereby Bankers received huge golden handshakes and walked away into the sunset having wrecked the country for decades to come.

And where did we learn that silence in the face of corruption and compliance with authority were virtues?

It's almost like they're putting something in the water to keep us docile and unable to think our way out the paper bag we are in. What was that stuff Stalin used to put in the water at the Gulags? Oh yeah, Fluoride

Who do you suggest we vote for in the next election? Go Back to Fianna Fail, no way. Sinn Fein- a crowd of economically illiterate lunatics with a leader who is clueless on the main issues in the South.

People moan about politicians lying in order to get elected.

Question: Would you vote for a party that advocated 25-30% cuts in public spending in their election maninfesto or would you vote for a party that promises the moneyfairy when it comes to public spending?
