My Jesus says, "The worshipers the Father seeks worship in spirit and truth." He also irriterated, "they will not worship on mountains or in Jerusalem."
When I was a child my mother forced me to attend a Catholic School and attend mass on Sunday.
Of course prior to school starting in the mornings we were required to attend morning mass.I hated it so much that I talked to my mother about attending a public school instead. She did enroll me in the public school system.
Since adulthood I've only been inside a Catholic church three times and that's when my father, mother and older sister passed away.
I've always felt that I didn't need religion to tell me about being good or what's good or bad.
None. Sunday morning is a great time to get groceries and find good coffee!
Actually, I've attended in the past when I was younger both high and low church services (mainline Protestant and Catholic). Neither particularly edified me in any way and they also seemed to be more social than anything - at least they would be for me since I don't worship, so I didn't see much point in going.
