Do you find you always need some kind of stimulation or entertainment to fill every spare minute, whether it be visual or auditory?

Or are you able to sometimes be still and let your thoughts wash quietly over you...

No, I'm quite content to sit and reflect, daydream, or just let my mind go blank at times. daydream

Now that I have a wee turd maker in the house, things are a little different. laugh At least he's learning to make the turds outdoors, usually, but I knew the score before I brought him home. I can live without sleep, time to myself, for a lot longer than I ever knew, from previous experiences.

I have no complaints, I chose him, as much as he chose me. dancing dog

I think it is healthy to take a "Time out" and to reflect quietly, I used to meditate, but these days I find just sitting by the stream on Campus, under a willow tree is just as relaxing, another relaxing way is to sit in a cafe, drink a coffee and watch the people going by, certainly for me I find it both stimulating and relaxing, liking one's own company helps of course handshake

Yes I agree, it's important to let our minds wander now and then and not have a constant need for information and communication wine

Yep, he's here, has been for a few days. He is good company too, just being that he's 3 months old, he's wound up tighter than a three dollar wrist watch at times. laugh

Thankfully I still have enough energy to wear him out, and he does have naps during the day, and I did too yesterday. laugh

But really, doggies seem to have more quiet contemplation than we do. They sit, lay and just stare out into space. When they do that, what are on the minds of doggies ? uncertain

Mine is a senior doggie now and he often gazes into space and reflects back upon his life...

All those long long walks, the runs on the beach being flattened by much larger dogs, the lusty admiring of the bichon frieze down the road .. daydream

More likely a little canine dementia kicking in sigh
