I see no problems with these words and it sounds like these are words you use freely so if someone is offended are they really your friend? I would have no problem with you calling me any of them, but I am from the South and we are a friendly folk. Don't let people get you down.

minnieme2: Somebody pass the bucket please.
cmiver don't beg girl, it's very unbecoming.
No you're not a bad person but calling people you hardly know baby, sweetheart etc. can come across fake and should only be for your partner and very close loved ones.
I just cringe and want to throw up when I see that happening. Ugh!
Sorry, but I do.

thanks dear....teddybear miss i do like your comment,

the problem with me is ....i am not at all proud of

myself....hence my shameless begging....i don't mind...

your throwing i am sorry....to make feel that way..sweetheart

cmiyer: we all have our own way of looking at things....i can surely
understand your feelings miss.....but me i would have taken
it as a compliment...

immaterial to that...whether the friendship develops more or not
but then...we all have different ...look to life

thanking you dear miss...

It isn't a compliment though. I will even go so far as to say, these types have stalker tendencies. These types are needy, oppressive, clingy...not the traits I find attractive in a potential partner or friend.

You would honestly approach someone you don't know and call him "Baby"?

I've visited the southern states and people there refer to someone and also myself Hun etc. Some people in the Northern don't do that if at all.I guess it 's how the Southern people are taught.

May I say one more thing, then I will leave your thread.

When you do find someone who you would like to know better, they may not take you seriously because of your casual, almost joking, use of endearments on here. You may not be believed at a time where you want to be real. Be real. We don't win friends by flooding them with endearments. We gain friends be being real.

An excessive use of endearments can get interpreted as something you didn't really intend and you could end up with a pest on your hands.

Agreed. thumbs up

Endearments like these from someone, unless a very close friend, feels insincere and forced.
