How would you say women could get their personality over?..I think anything other than the usual meaningless dross probably puts men off? Sometimes I think trying to express how you think and be,comes over as odd..I would take a lot of notice on what a man writes on his profile..

So I've a good personality, look like a cabbage patch doll but sure that doesn't matter, when are we getting married.
I think the majority only looks at a photo and don't bother reading anything.

Looking at the mail I got, most guys never read my profile. I am talking about my experience here.
Most doesn't mean all, I got some emails of guys who obviously did read my profile and they got an email back.
Personally I would always read a profile before I communicate with someone.

KNenagh: Of course, I got lots of emails who were obviously copy and paste and had nothing to do with what I was looking for.
I also got some fairly funny emails when they were referring to something on my profile. A good few guys did inquire what Zumba was for example.

I think if someone is serious and want to read a woman, they do read a profile and send a personalised first mail.

Yes, there are some nice peeps on here who wish someone luck and would enquire how things are going. There are some peeps where it is nice to just keep in contact with.
In response to: I saw this in the international fora, and thought it was an interesting question, so I'm asking men on the Irish fora, what is important to men when looking at the profiles of women. Please be honest.
The thing with any profile is that you are never going to be sure if that profile is in anyway truthful, and it is extremely difficult to determine anyone's real character from just a few lines of text, it takes time to get to actually know anyone, and that is the same for both men and women.
