(An actual letter from an Iowa resident and sent to his
senator some years back 2006 when i first saw it)

The Honorable Tom Harkin
731 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington DC , 20510
Phone (202) 224 3254

Dear Senator Harkin,

As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the
Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your
assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland
Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming
an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status
from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill
which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you
voted. If my understanding of this bill’s provisions is
accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United
States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen
is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the
last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I
am anxious to get the process started before everyone
figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have
had to pay taxes every year so I’m excited about the
prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying
a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be
illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result
for me and my family be cause we paid
heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.

Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using
the local emergency room as my primary health care provider.
Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance,
my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status is that my
daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to
her law school applications, as well as ‘in-state’
tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States
for my son.

Lastly, I understand that illegal status would
relieve me the burden of renewing my driver’s license
and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is
very important to me given that I still have college age
children driving my car.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process
to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies
of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative.

Thank you for your assistance.

now under bozo this could be added in
Under Obama program, illegals get driver’s license, credit cards, Obamacare

Actually, the founding father of illegal alien amnesty is none other than your illustrious Ronald
Reagan!!!! rolling on the floor laughing

Followed by the great George Bush the senior. rolling on the floor laughing

Its all good though---- the republicans beginning with Reagan have secretly had a non enforcement policy on illegal immigration resulting in a massive labor pool in a time of inflation and labor shortages. Dirt cheap labor when severe labor shortages looming on horizon. Resulting in crushing inflation and huge economic growth. rolling on the floor laughing

Yes, it is true, Reagan granted amnesty to around 3 million illegal aliens. As this great president said, "The employer sanctions program is the keystone and major element. It will remove the incentive for illegal immigration by eliminating the job opportunities which draw illegal aliens here."

The employer sanctions program, never worked because these laws were never enforced. As a result of no enforcement, we saw continued and great numbers of illegal aliens silently invading our country and destroying our infrastructure.

The only way to solve illegal aliens from Mexico, would be to help their government improve their economy.

Since we no longer need the massive amounts of dirt cheap labor from South of the border, I would submit we require our elected officials ,Congress and President, to turn down the lobby money and enforce the laws. Reagan knew very well that illegal immigrants were flooding the country and he was not doing anything. The repubs were pretending to be tough on illegal immigration to get reelected. rolling on the floor laughing

Yes, President Reagan's "employer Sanction Program" didn't do anything because it wasn't enforced. Today, illegal aliens take the dirt cheap jobs and better ones, hurting students and college graduates and etc.

Do they not receive free schooling, medical care and welfare as well as assistance with food and housing? Are our water and sewage systems built to take unlimited demand? Can they drain the economy in other ways too where the U.S. Taxpayers money could be be spent better elsewhere, like the cost for border patrols, fences etc. Ever wonder why we see banks requiring you to press 1 English, 2 for Spanish, but no other language options?

thanks to the superb work ethic of many immigrants, the plentiful supply, and extremely low cost, I am retired and no longer need to eat at fast food establishments. Actually taco bell is a better one,I just dont eat pre ground beef from anyone.
