Thinking back to my childhood days i have many happy memories, least of all my time in primary school. I remember my first love"Gaynor Jackson" & my favourite teacher"Mr gray" He always gave me special attention. I remember him bouncing me up & down on his knee when i was sad. Oh what good memories.. What happy childhood memories do you have?
some of the best are ice skating on the creek when it froze. Sitting in the curved trunk of an old Sycamore tree, walking my dog in the college woods, going to the beach with my grandmother
Long summers, the freedom to roam around, have lots of places to play and animals to play with, having a cat, dog, horse or cow hanging around and time to just do what I wanted.

one of the best is: I spent every summer in one small village with my grandmother. One summer, friends of mine and me thought that we found diamonds.....it was such a happy day; we carried uphill and down hill bag full of "diamonds" hide it.....and when I showed one small piece to my grandmother she said: "Yes, we crash that stone and use it to wash a dishes, since it is full of silicone or sand (not sure what she said)" so, all my diamonds ended up being my grandmothers "cleaning" tool

I have many many good memories. Too many to mention but but if you ask me to name any birthday or Christmas presents i received as a child , I couldn't mention any..
Long summer holidays spent on the beach...6 weeks seemed like 16. Then on a sunday our uncle ( who had a pick up truck ) would pile all us kids in the back, ( it wouldn't be allowed now ) along with the parents and we would go to a different beach, catch the tide right and the little cove to one end of the beach would be cut off,so it was completely private to us...happy times. Leave at 7am home at 7pm. I have a photo when a crowd of us spent the day at the beach, there were 23 of us. No arguments,no bickering...just having a wonderful time.

I had a very happy, carefree childhood. So many memories, from learning to whittle bows and arrows from cuttings when my Dad pruned the fruit trees to playing cowboys and indians with the children in the neighbourhood.
Holidays in the Drakensberg every April and the seaside in the December heat (hated those, I was always the child with a tshirt on because I sunburnt so badly :( )
